UK Shared Prosperity Fund

Grants available to support Community Resilience

A new grants programme is open, supporting community projects in the Derbyshire Dales.

The Community Resilience Grants scheme is available for charities, voluntary organisations, social enterprises and parish councils to bid into. Funding for revenue and capital projects is available, with a maximum of £25,000 being available for capital projects.

The grants programme is managed by ourselves (Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Service) on behalf of Derbyshire Dales District Council.

It is part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) which was awarded to DDDC.

The fund aims to enable local organisations to deliver projects that maintain key rural services, facilities and community infrastructure; boost community and volunteering capacity to tackle locally identified challenges; enhance social inclusion and resilience; support post-pandemic recovery and help maintain safe and healthy communities; and take local action on climate change to help reduce carbon emissions and promote behaviour change.

Neil Moulden, our Chief Officer said ‘This is an exciting opportunity for local voluntary and community organisations to gain funding to deliver projects that will have a positive impact on communities and people in the Dales, and we are very pleased to be working with the District Council to distribute this funding’.

He went on to say that ‘Making grant applications can sometimes be daunting, so the CVS will make every effort to support people through the application process and ensure that they have the best opportunity of gaining the funding they need’.

Any organisation wishing to apply for some of the funding must first register on the District Council’s website by going to www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/UKSPF

If you are eligible for funding, your details will then be passed to us at DDCVS, and we will send you an application form and these guidelines.
