Many of the photographs on this site are taken by the very talented, Buxton based photographer – Nuno Saque Ferreira. Originally Nuno responded to a request for a photographer on the DO-IT website (for anyone wishing to find a volunteer placement or find a volunteer).

He came to meet us in July 2013 and worked for us during the next two years in a mixture of voluntary and paid capacity. Nuno brought professional photography skills, a willingness to travel and the ability to work independently. Nuno’s professional focus is around music event photography but photographing community events and community group activities seemed to come naturally to him; he had a relaxed manner and was very good at putting people at ease.

As well as thanking Nuno for all his work in getting some fantastic images together for our website we would like to thank those Members of DDCVS who have kindly made themselves available for Nuno and CVS staff to photograph and to then use the images on our website.

Since working with Nuno, DDCVS has bought a camera and from time to time, with the appropriate permissions,  we take photographs of our member groups and of our events. You may see yourself featured here!
