Derbyshire County Council have added a NEW Become Youth Mental Health Aware course to the range of MHFA England training courses we are able to offer. This is a new half-day course which has been developed by MHFA England.

A description of the new Become Youth Mental Health Aware course, can be found on our Become Youth Mental Health Aware webpage. This introductory MHFA England 3-hour session raises awareness of young people’s mental health. The session covers:

  • some of the common mental health issues affecting young people, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and psychosis
  • skills to work more effectively with young people living with mental health issues
  • ways to support young people with a mental health issue and relate to their experiences

Places are currently available on the Become Youth Mental Health Aware October and November course dates below. Regarding this, the links below will take you directly to the booking pages. Details and a description of the range of mental health training courses Derbyshire County Council offer can be found on our Mental health training webpage and its sub-pages on the Derbyshire County Council website. All our training courses are part of rolling programmes with new dates released throughout the year to our Mental health training webpage and its sub-pages. Please note various dates and/or venue locations can be popular and can fill quickly, so in these circumstances we sometimes have to limit the number of individuals from any one particular organisation on a specific date. We encourage anyone interested in our mental health training to visit our Mental health training webpage and its sub-pages above on a regular ongoing basis to check for newly released courses.
