Rob joined the Derbyshire Dales CVS team as Finance Manager in December 2021 and says “Almost everything we do at the CVS has a financial impact and I love getting involved in all aspects of the work we do here”.

Rob worked and trained within the financial sector in London – “Auditing the Queen was an interesting one!”

He went on to retrain as a secondary school teacher in Sheffield before working for many years in Derbyshire schools.

Rob lives in Tideswell and supports many groups in the village. “Now that I have joined the CVS it is great to be able to support community and voluntary groups across the whole of the Derbyshire Dales. It is the volunteers who can make a huge difference to any local community”

Rob enjoys walking and cycling throughout the Peak District, marvels at the dark skies, is passionate about the environment and even has time for a bit of ping pong!
