Derbyshire Rural Communities Resilience and Social Connection Project

Derbyshire County Council is committed to fostering resilient, healthy, and socially connected communities across the county.

On the 7th August 2025 approval was sought from Cabinet Member for Health and Communities.

This report outlines plans to extend the Derbyshire Rural Communities Resilience and Social Connection Project for an additional 18 months, from October 2025 to March 2027.

With an allocation of £0.250m from Public Health grant reserves, the initiative aims to strengthen local communities, reduce loneliness, and improve social connectedness through targeted funding and support.

By building on the successes of previous projects, this extension will enable continued development of local interventions, partnerships, and sustainable strategies to enhance community well-being and address health inequalities.

This has been approved.
