The Farming Life Centre’s new Young People’s Farm Club

The Farming Life Centre has recently employed a new member of staff – Activities Coordinator for Children and Young People – Chloe Redfearn.

Chloe will run the new Farming Life project – the ‘Young People’s Farm Club’ to support wellbeing and all things rural within schools. This has been funded in part via the Derbyshire County Council Growing Golden Opportunities fund.

The project aims to promote social and emotional wellbeing through agricultural and rural activities with a focus group of young people from within the Derbyshire Dales. We plan to run exciting and engaging on farm activities such as: dry stone wall building, animal husbandry, woodwork and much more. We plan to raise self-esteem and promote confidence.
