Showcase Your Group at Bakewell & Ashbourne Christmas Tree Festivals

This Christmas, Derbyshire Dales CVS’ Social Connectedness Project, funded by Public Health, is bringing a little extra sparkle to Bakewell and Ashbourne! We’re delighted to have Christmas trees at the festivals in All Saints Church, Bakewell and St Oswald’s Church Hall, Ashbourne – each one dedicated to celebrating the amazing community spirit in our area.

If you’re part of a community group or run activities that bring people together, this is your chance to shine!

If you would like to promote your group, please write your group’s details on a tag and hang it on one of our Christmas trees.

From coffee mornings and walking groups to craft clubs and social events – whatever you do to bring people together, let everyone know. Plus, groups who share their details may be eligible to apply for a new microgrant to support activities.

“We are looking forward to discovering new groups and activities that we haven’t yet connected with, helping them to share what they do and to explore how we can support them, says Amanda, Social Connectedness Development Worker at Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Service. “Every group creates opportunities for people to come together, build friendships, and strengthen community connections.”
