Funding Opportunities
The 2nd round of the Digital Support Derbyshire Small Grants programme is now live!
Managed by Rural Action Derbyshire, the 2nd round of grants opened on 30th October and closes on November 25th at 5pm. Applications can range from £1,000 – £4,000.
All applicants need to be members of the Digital Support Derbyshire Network (do contact Sam Tock at Rural Action Derbyshire, if in doubt, or you’d like to join).
Applications welcome from all parts of Derbyshire (exc Derby) but would be particularly interested in hearing from projects operating in South Derbyshire, High Peak and Amber Valley.

The National Churches Trust has grants of between £3,000 and £10,000 for urgent and essential maintenance and repair projects costing between £20,000 and £80,000. Grants will never exceed 50% of the net project costs.
Applicants must:
• Be a Christian place of worship (but not a cathedral) within the UK and open for at least six services of public worship each year.
• Not have started work before the online application is submitted, but the planned work must be achievable within two years of the grant decision being made.
• Have secured at least 50% of the funding for the project you are applying for.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 17 December 2024.

The Tree Council grant for community groups, schools, small registered charities, and Tree Warden Networks seeking to establish trees, hedgerows, and orchards is open.
Branching Out supports applications ranging in value from £250 to £2,500, with specific criteria for those under £500, and those above £500. The Screwfix Foundation is a registered charity set up in 2013.
It is a grant giving charity with a clear purpose to support projects that improve, repair and maintain homes and community facilities used by those in need throughout the UK.
The Screwfix Foundation currently offers local registered charities and not for profit organisations funding up to the region of £5,000. All applications are reviewed individually by the team on a quarterly basis, the review dates are in March, June, September and December.
The Foundation funds projects which improve a physical building (or land attached to it) that is used by people in need. The types of projects it funds are:
• Improved energy efficient lighting & heating
• Installation of new kitchen, bathroom etc.
• Installation of a sensory room
• General painting & decorating
• Improving safety and security of a building
