Do you find it hard to get to healthcare appointments?

Do you worry about relying on family, friends and neighbours?

DDCVS Member, Bakewell and Eyam Community Transport co-ordinates a car scheme throughout the Hope Valley and northern Derbyshire Dales.

The team of friendly volunteers use their own vehicles to provide individual journeys from your home to medical appointments – including hospitals, clinics, dentists, doctors and opticians.

If you haven’t previously travelled with BECT then it just takes a 5 minute chat on the telephone to register and once registered you simply need to telephone to request each journey – a minimum of 7 days notice is required, more if possible.

There is a charge for each journey which will be confirmed at the time of booking; there is no charge for the time the volunteer waits whilst your appointment is taking place.

For more information and to register please telephone 01629 641922 (Tuesday – Friday, 9am – 5pm).
