Learning Opportunity for Groups working with Children and Young People - an Evaluation Workshop with Helen Bovey

Our next Children and Young People’s Network will be Thursday 24th April at the Agricultural Business Centre, Bakewell from 9.30 to 12.30.

We are welcoming Helen Bovey from local organisation Icarus Helping Organisations Deliver The Best Outcomes For People & Places

Helen will deliver a hands-on workshop to demystify evaluation, and to give you tools to evaluate your projects.

We’ll consider:

What is evaluation (and what it’s not)

  • The benefits of evaluation
  • Key elements in an evaluation plan
  • Putting evaluation into practice

During the workshop we’ll focus on project examples from among the participants to make sure that we are thinking about the practical application of evaluation. Please think about a project you are involved in (underway already or in development) that we could use during the workshop to apply our learning to – we’ll select two or three for the whole group to work on. No need to do any preparation, as long as you have the basic information about the project to hand. If your project is selected for us to work on, you’ll get the added benefit of a part completed evaluation action plan by the end of the session!

You will be able to park at the Agricultural Business Centre free of charge as a parking pass will be provided.

If you are a voluntary & community sector organisation, working with Children and Young People in the Derbyshire Dales, please contact Polly / Sarah to book your place.

Please note that places are LIMITED and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We will book one member of staff or volunteer per organisation initially.
