OUR FUNDING ADVICE SERVICE
DDCVS Funding Information and Advice Service
Our Funding Information and Advice Service available free of charge to anyone involved in a voluntary or community group working in the Derbyshire Dales.
At DDCVS we can help you search for funding for your project. We keep up to date with most local funding streams so can signpost you to a small local pot if that is appropriate. Or we can use a variety of resources to try and find a suitable grant for your project. We have a number of funding guides in the library and we subscribe to Funder Finder which is a database of funding opportunities.
You can also access www.derbyshire4funding.info from any computer with internet access - it is free database made available through funding from ChangeUp.
Or you can access GrantNet from the Derbyshire County Council's website. Go to www.derbyshire.gov.uk/community/lottery funding/default.asp
Funder Finder is a computer database which holds details of trusts and foundations and the areas of work they support. Funder Finder asks a variety of questions about your project and then puts all your details into the database and filters out what wouldn’t fund you leaving you with suggestions as to what would. It should be seen as a tool to finding funds and is a good exercise in working out what your project or work is about and what you need.
Derbyshire4Funding and GrantNet work in a similar way but they ask fewer questions. Of course you can access these from home if you have internet access.
If your group would like to use FunderFinder or have a look at the directories in our library or talk through your idea please contact us to arrange a time to come in.
Call 01629 812154 or email enquiries@ddcvs.org.uk
Remember even if you know where you are applying to we can always read through your draft application and offer suggestions.
