WELCOME TO DERBYSHIRE DALES CVS
A Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) supports, promotes and develops local voluntary and community action. DDCVS offers local groups access to facilities such as equipment loan and hire; encourages networking between individuals and groups within the sector and between local groups and the statutory sector; leads in identifying gaps in service provision and works with groups to develop new and innovative services to meet these needs.
DDCVS also works in partnership with local government and other agencies to shape the delivery of services. Partnerships help to ensure that we have a coherent and co-ordinated approach to tackling local needs.
Partnership work has recently included work in developing a local Compact, being involved the Rural Pathfinder, the Local Strategic Partnership, Third Sector Support for Derbyshire (3D), the Leader Local Action Group, and a number of health-related forums such as the Health Improvement sub-group and the Patient and Public Involvement group.
We are particularly looking forward to building a good relationship with the recently established Derbyshire PCT. We are also developing a strong relationship with the new Children's Centre at Castle View School, Matlock through our work on Hurst Farm estate.
